It has recently come to my attention that there are currently a number of words users are unable to use on this forum. I would be able to change this so that no words would be banned if that is what everyone wants. However I thought I had better check whether or not there are any particular words Aliance members would rather be kept on the ban list before I did this (and yes I realise the difficulty in specifying which words you want banned while not being able to actually write them! ). Thank you.

I'd like for no words to be banned but would ask for members to exercise restraint where words may cause offence and to respond positively if another member raises an objection about a particular word or phrase or usage.

I quite agree, we should have the opurtunity to say what we want, how we want it. But as a comunity we should exercise restraint when smiting our brothers!!!! lol... We don´t live in the fifties, we should be able to say profane words. But if someone is strongly religious (maybe there is such a thing as an christian anarchist, or moslem anarchist for that sake. We did after all have revolutionary christian communists in norway during the seventies.), or does not like profanity for some reason, then we should respect that....

Likewise.
Besides, the kinds of words likely to cause offence here are probably not the ones that are banned anyway.

Profanity - f**king nuts up for all us thingys.
edit: as the censorship hasn't been sorted yet I'd just like to say that the word 'nuts' while physically a more accurate substitute than say 'cr*p' is a rubbish word to use instead of 'sh*t'. I'd also like to add that I would never call a female birth tract a 'thingy'. I'd appreciate it if this restrictive censorship were dealt with at the earliest opportunity. The people of Watfordshire - The Shiree, swear alot. It's an issue in the fucking game for fucks sake.

i think it's ridiculous to have the forum censor words, and that we should be able depend on discussion of wether or not certain words (i really hate the use of that word people use for women that rhymes with witch) are "OK" to be used or not, though without putting rules and restrictions on it.

WC - while you're about it, can you change the "status" designation for members - I just hit 50 posts and became a "Junior Member" .
Apart from not being very imaginative "New Member" isn't particularly offensive but "Junior" sounds like someone with a lesser voice, whereas I'd like to think everyone here is of equal value.
Can we come up with a list of "status" levels with a little humour? Perhaps ranging from Soapbox Diva to Perpetual Spouter? (or some such)

Or can we choose our own?
I'd like Monster Shouter, please.

I think the first 'rank' should be "Wild-eyed Bomb Thrower"

There appear to be five ranks: 'new member' (0) 'junior member' (50) 'full member' (100) 'senior member' (250) 'god' (500)
Should I differentiate between the five (with alternative names for said ranks), or just have us all labeled 'tACA Member'?

Maybe just New Member, tACA Member, and something for the most prolific, like "Veteran of the Revolution" or something? It's nice sometimes to have New Members marked out, so people cut them a little slack.
