Category: Environmental

Proposed by: Hertfordland
Description: RECOGNISING THE FACT that many nations endorse or support, directly or indirectly, the practise of logging within rainforests.
RECOGNISING resolution #48 - "Save the forests of the World" has attempted to address the more general issue of deforestation to limited success.

NOTING that fir forests can provide a sustainable logging source without damaging unique habitats.
CALLING for the formation of a regulatory body to ensure rainforest deforestation is reduced significantly in all UN countries.
