This one should be pretty uncontroversial, no?

how do people feel about telegramming those in our region who are UN members, but not regular visitors to the forum? Does it smack of lobbying to ask people to remember to vote for great resolutions like this one?

I think it's a good idea. There's nothing wrong with lobbying.

WC, are you voting on this one? oh, and i've never figured out if regional delegates get two votes in the UN. do you vote once for your country, and once for the region, or just the once and for all? i still think we need to get a system set up for deciding how our delegate will vote on resolutions, and make it "binding" somehow.

Yes I would vote for a resolution to repeal that "fight the axis of evil" proposal. There have been hundreds of proposals trying to do the same thing recently though so you'll need to do something memorable so that your's will stick out from the rest.
The delegate only gets to vote once.

WC - I think you missed it, but it went through anyway.

Oh ok, sorry I thought you were drafting a new proposal. Glad to see it passed anyway!

Bump.
That seems "overburdened" to me.
A chance to repeal a draconian UN resolution and we missed it? Our voice, as a region, was not heard? We suffer the pain of anti-civil rights resolutions so we can have a voice when it matters and we missed it? Surely not?

I should remind you that I had been offline the previous week as I had been moving house and had had to check on my nation using the library computer. I did actually mention this fact on the regional message board but perhaps you missed it.

Can I suggest that if you're gonna be offline for long periods in future, you could shed your endorsements and relinquish the responsibility of delegacy so that someone can do the job while you're gone.

Didn't know I wasn't going to be able to get back online for ages before I moved, but yeah sure.
