How about a place for people to show any maps they have of their homes? Here's a map of the semi-tropical islands of Sacco and Vanzetti:

Nice map! Looks a bit like Oscar the Grouch (that is obviously a good thing).
I would imagine my nation is pretty big and has a temperate sort of climate. Lots of forests and plains as far as the eye can see dotted with little settlements and farms. The rivers, canals and railways are the main mode of transport due to the sheer scale of the country. There is no capital city but the south-east coast is the most populus area. Is there any easy way I can draw it?

If you can sketch something rough and scan it, I can try to pretty it up for you. (No promises of anything wonderful though, I'm only workaday with Photoshop)

Nice graphics. Incidentally, what did you name your nation after? The name sounds familiar.

Sacco and Vanzett, if you're still up for drawing my nation he's a rough description for you to work from, you might require an atlas or something to check your proportions:
"The Anarchist Federation of Workers Communes is located on a large island roughly as big as China or the United States. It lies on approximately the same latitude as Europe with it's northern coast riddled with inlets and small islands left over from the ice age (home to much of the nation's fishing and it's oil and natural-gas reserves). It is vaguely circular or 'heart shaped' but with a large gulf biting into the south east side (similar to the gulf of mexico) and a fairly big peninsula on it's southern tip (shaped slightly like India). The far north is almost tundra most of the year while the far south consists of mediteranean scrub-land. Much of the interior is made up of vast forests and plains; here most of the country's collective farms and eco-friendly power plants are to be found (as well as small towns and cities). In the far west there is a large mountain range (home to much of the island's native population and a limited amount of mining), many rivers run in down here and feed into a large cental lake on the east side of this mountain range (roughly the size of the Black Sea) around which lie several large urban areas; the manufacturing heart of the AFWC. Along the north-east coast of the island and also around the coast of the great south-eastern gulf there are also many large urban areas who began their lives as seaports. Many railways and canals connect these large centres of population with the rest of the country."
Good luck!

Yeah I think S&V did a fantastic job, I'm sure they'd make a map for the Free Land of Anarchy In Motion if you gave them a rough description like I did. Here's another one they did showing the main industries etc. in the AFWC:

AIM - I'm happy to have a shot at doing a map for your peeps if you give me a rough idea of how you see it - with the usual understanding that I'm only a photoshop tinkerer not an expert.

Self-explanatory. I probably should have put a scale on it, but whatever. It's about two hundred meters across and four hundred meters long. And there are supposed to be wires everywhere and giant pipelines from the bathroom to the Department of Energy (we put thermal depolymerization to great use here).

WC, do you have a Beluga whale industry? Those look suspiciously like cute intelligent Belugas!

YS - I think they're actually giant mackerel, posing as beluga whales...
